Jack would have picked Zatanna up even if she hadn't insisted on it. There was a proper way to do things and picking up a woman one was goign to dinner with was the proper way.
He looked at the house warily as the door opened on its own. The last time he'd been here, the house had thrown things at him after all. Sure, it had eventually settled down, but he still didn't quite trust it and he would have felt much better if Zatanna had been in sight.
All the same, he entered as he was clearly meant to and sat down to the tea. He took a sip.
