Jack's jaw fell slack. Just a little bit. He usually managed to look dignified, but there was no dignified way to stare in shock.
He weighed the possibilities of the story. He'd long thought that the City might be some sort of entity. And the City had come to a complete standstill.
There had even been an article in the City Voice regarding a man claiming to be the City, though he hadn't been sure what to think of it then. Sitting right across from the man in question, he still wasn't sure what to think of it.
He took a seat and studied the man who claimed to be the City.
"So you're the City? And the people you've been telling this to have had questions for you?"
He was confirming and perhaps mulling over the problem at hand.
