Thomas followed, looking at the cab as he left it, as if it might decide to turn and bite him. What a wonderfully awful machine it was.
He followed the mayor into the building and into the office where they were to have their meeting. It was a very nice place. Thomas was proud of it. The people had voted and chosen Mayor Heart and Thomas had made sure that the people's mayor was in a nice place.
"Oh." He thought a moment, weighing his thirst against the inevitable bodily functions that would come after having a drink. Thirst was a powerful motivator. "Yes, please, that would be very nice."
Without waiting to be invited, Thomas sat in a chair. Technically it was his chair, anyway. He had created it and provided it. On top of that, he wasn't really up on the manners thing yet.
