Zoe nodded slightly, understanding that there was some evasion in the bird's answer. She looked down at the salad for a moment, saying something of a silent prayer in that quite pause.
"I'm sure you'll figure out what you need. I'm also sure Bruce will be more than willing to help if you ask. He does look after his own, doesn't he?" Alfred caught that as he came in to check on them. Zoe ignored any look the older man might have given her. She just took a very healthy bite of salad and chewed, looking over at Dinah.
"Ms. Zoe could assist you. She knows a thing or two about safety concerns." Alfred knew her background, all of it, and Zoe wasn't going to question how. In fact, it was nice having someone who did know a good bit about what she'd gone through. She didn't think for one moment that he would consider using the information against her. There was just something about Alfred that earned Zoe's trust rather quickly and easily.
