Full Circle-ish (Fred)
If nothing else came out of the fiasco that had been the League meeting he had gotten pseudo permission to start lacing video cameras all throughout the City. Sort of. He was supposed to be monitoring some big bad vampire dude's movements, ostensibly at his club Fangtasia, a silly name in Jensen's opinion. No one said JUST around Fangtasia, and Jensen felt that this guy was probably cocky and moved around a lot of places so why not have a lot of coverage?

He got Zatanna to put up the cameras near the club since she had mystical teleporting abilities and he didn't. (No sense tempting fate, right?) Everywhere else he was putting up himself. The new search and GPS program was already geared up to take in feed from the cameras once they were activated and triangulate movement. Even if the City started switching around again, Jensen would have his location. Take THAT vampire bitches!

He had put up the last camera for the day and decided he could eat something. He spotted a Chinese restaurant across the street and thought it looked familiar. He couldn't quite place why he knew it, but figured if it stuck out in his mind chances were he liked the place so after checking traffic he jogged across the street, his bag bouncing against the back of his hip.

Fred had just finished a small job not far away; someone thought that they had a ghost in their computer, and rather than call in Dean or Jo, she'd gone to check it out. She guessed that either could have handled it, but a ghost in the computer sounded funny. It had taken her only a few minutes to figure out that the ghost was user error. Someone hadn't turned off a very sensitive touch pad while using a remote mouse - technology was fun. She'd also realized there were a few other little things that said user could do to his home network and security.

She had thought the job would be easy, and she was only going to charge enough a small amount, maybe enough for a couple of days' takeout. That was her plan anyway. Turns out there was a ghost, who wasn't at all happy with some of her suggested and implemented changes. Thankfully, said ghost was attached to the laptop that had brought her here; unfortunately, Fred remembered how the Winchesters took care of ghosts and burned it. The owner didn't like her solution at all, and Fred got out of there as quickly as possible.

So, after flambaying a laptop and running from a very angry client, Fred thought getting a little food was a good idea. She didn't seem to mind that she looked a little out of sorts. She did look as if she'd been tossed about a tiny bit, a few cuts and bruises here and there. She also probably smelled like burned/melted plastic. She paused long enough to look at her reflection in the glass front of her favorite Chinese place in the City.

"Oh, wow." She tried for a moment to smooth down her hair before going in.

Then he saw her. Fred. That ouchy spot in his chest reared up and said HI! REMEMBER ME?! He hadn't seen her since their argument. Hadn't talked. He'd shot her that email about Dinah only to feel like a moron when he remembered she didn't have a computer. Sigh.

He had choices. He could sneak back out the door or face the music. He was really hungry though! SIGH!

He walked up behind her in line then his brows wrinkled down as he picked up on the smell. He sniffed at the back of her hair, saw something in it and plucked it out. "Okay when you said you didn't have a computer I didn't think that meant you killed them in a ritualistic pyre."

Fred jumped when he spoke. Her mind more focused on the near death experience ala angry ghost in the machine - she'd never thought that'd be a literal thing - and just how mussed up she looked. She yelped softly and turned, blinking.

"Oh, no, what? No." She tried hiding the scorch mark on the hem of her shirt. "Just a job gone very wrong." She had a cut on her cheek, and would probably have a nice bruise on her forehead; it was already forming.

"Well, it went right, then it went wrong, then it went right and wrong. I had to burn someone's laptop. That was...it was scary. And sad." She didn't even bother trying to cover it all with a smile.

He didn't like seeing her this beat up and his frown deepened into lines of absolute disapproval with a smattering of I'm gonna smack a bitch.

"What happened?"

If that vampire bastard did this he was so going to borrow Zatanna's silver tipped arrows, find himself a high powered crossbow and hunt the jerk down!

"Oh, went to a job, checked out someone's laptop because they thought it was haunted. I thought it wasn't - easy peasy fix. Turned out there was a ghost; was not happy with my fixes. I torched the laptop with the alcohol I found in the guy's apartment; didn't have any lighter fluid. And tada. No more ghost, but no more laptop either. Win-lose for everybody." Fred was trying to make light of it, but she winced when she shifted a little. "It might have tossed me around like a rag doll a little. Or felt like it."

She actually had to give a groaning laugh at how that might have looked. It wouldn't be pretty, but there was some weird dark humor to it. She just gave him a slight smile.

"I'll be okay, just have to remember when someone says they think they're computer's haunted, I shouldn't ask them if they've turned it off then back on." She winced again; the adrenaline was wearing off. "I think I hit something." Her hand was going to her side.

"A ghost." He blinked in bewilderment. "In a laptop. That threw you around before you set it on fire." A lot of bewilderment. Jensen had a lot of training and was prepared for a lot of things, but all this supernatural stuff? Not so much.

He rubbed at the back of his neck feeling more than a little out of touch and awkward. "Talk about your ultimate Ghost in the Machine. Can we expect Macross to land any day now?" He couldn't help but wonder if anyone other than him, a huge japanimation geek, would get the reference.

"Yeah, who know? Trust me, I didn't." Fred shook her head. "I guess something of the dead guy got down in there, which is soooo very gross to think about. Has to be genetic material." Her nose wrinkled as her mind was working overtime. "But, yeah, also, don't buy your tech from estate sales unless you can rework the whole thing, right? Yikes." She shuddered then smiled slightly.

"Oh, or to go live action, Go..wait, Godzilla has already been here!" Her eyes were wide, and she was definitely giggling at the idea of it all. "At least it wasn't Mothra and Godzilla." She winced thinking about it.

"I watched a little Robotech, but it never came on regularly on tv for some reason." Her smile was dialed back as she shrugged.

He couldn't help but smile as they seemed to fall right back into where they left off in conversations before she dropped the bomb. And when that thought entered his mind his smile faded at the edges. Maybe he would go find food someplace else.

"Well, at least you're okay." He nodded then started to get out of line.

Fred claimed his hand, her lips thinned. He wasn't going too far, not yet. Well, not without her.

"I'm not. I mean, I am, but I'm not." She looked around, realizing that this wasn't the place, but she guessed she wouldn't get a better time. She stepped out of the way and lightly tugged him along if his hand was still in hers.

He didn't let go. He might not be capable of it since it felt like his heart started beating again when she touched him. He went with her with a wary but confused look on his face.

"What do you mean, Fred?"

Part of him was waving red flags, throwing up flares and telling him to run for it before he got hurt.

"Well, I can finally get out of bed, get cleaned up, and eat something. I'm even taking cases, though as you can see I'm doing great with those." Fred glanced down at herself. "So, I'm okay. I'm alive kind of okay. Only I'm not okay. I miss you. I don't like that you're still mad at me, I guess you're still mad at me, or you're still not talking. Well, you're talking, but you're about to go, rather than stay and eat some of the best Chinese in the City with me. You're not even asking me to come home with you, which sounds really dirty, and maybe it is, but that's not the point. It's that you're just gone, and I miss you. See, I came up with this possible bit of math that might help with some of your gps stuff, which I still have to say I'm jealous about your idea, it's very cool."

She was babbling, but she was afraid if she didn't talk fast, he'd be gone. "And I thought, the cameras might move on the locations themselves because rooms can be added, subtracted, moved in a building, so the cameras can change." She paused. "It happens. That's how you have an apartment and Hank has a lab. Anyway, you have to have work that into the program, which you've probably already thought of, but I thought about it anyway, and wham I got it, then I got so excited, then I thought maybe he doesn't want that, or maybe he's already thought about it and would think that I was thinking that he couldn't think about it when I know you can, so I didn't know what to do. I wanted to tell you because I was so excited. I also thought you could maybe go with me to see King Kong. Not that those two are related, not directly." She finally took a breath; she was doing her best to keep from crying, but it wasn't working. Her eyes were tearing up.

"I missed you, and while I'm eating, I don't like it as much, not really, not exactly. And I'm not sleeping so well. So, I'm not okay." She finally slowed down

Just like he always had he let her ramble, smiling just a little. It was kind of good to hear that. He'd missed it. Which meant he only heard about every fifth word. It didn't matter. It was Fred.

When she ran out of steam he let out a heavy sigh and looked down then away a little. "How's Eric?" He looked back to her with a neutral expression. How she answered this dictated whether or not this conversation would continue.

Fred felt like she'd be slapped, or at least pinched very hard. That was a very cruel thing to ask, and confusing. It showed on her face.

"I guess he's how ever he usually is. I wouldn't know." She wasn't sure if she should just let go of his hand after that question. Her brows furrowed. "Why would you ask that?"

He wasn't sure how much to tell her, but since he regretted some of the things he'd said to her during their fight he thought a display of trust was in order.

He looked down at their hands with a long sigh and spoke with his eyes down. The reality was he was scanning their immediate location for anyone too close.

"Because the League is going to hunt him, Fred and if you're still mixed up with him I don't want you getting hurt."

"I had a feeling that would happen. I wish you wouldn't." Fred's fingers tightened before he could say anything more. "I'm not going to try to stop y'all. But, he's going to do a lot of damage, and people are going to die. I've never met a vampire like him, and I've met a few." She stepped closer, leaning a little to get into his line of sight.

"I don't know if he's a preemptive strike type. I'm not going to run and tell him. Wouldn't even know where to find him. He might have mentioned something, but... I never tried to find him. " That should have said something. "If he is, and he gets even a hint that y'all are coming for him, he may try to do something. He's old, and I don't think they get that old by pure brute force." She stepped back, her hand still in his.

"I understand why y'all are hunting him. Or are trying to." She gave him a slight nod.

He lifted his eyes enough to look at her but shook his head. "It isn't my call." Hell, he wasn't sure if it was really going to go down after that meeting. He knew he didn't really trust working the job if Zatanna and Dean were going to be at each other's throats like that.

"And...I can't really tell you any more." He didn't want to air the League's dirty laundry. It wasn't that he didn't trust Fred to that extent. There were just some things you didn't talk about to anyone.

"Do think about it, okay?" Fred squeezed his fingers. "Do be very very careful." She stepped closer to press a kiss near his lips. "I understand, about not telling me more."

She was standing closer than she had been before, not having stepped away from him. She just gave him another soft kiss near the lips, smiling slightly.

"So, what now, Jake?" She gave him a slight smile.

He chuckled with his smile lifting a bit more. He liked her suggestions. All of them, but before they went rushing into things he wanted to make sure they were doing it all right this time.

"Dinner is good." His stomach gave a growl to emphasize his point. "Getting you looked at medically is definitely good. We could take you by to see Hank." He paused with his brows coming down. "Who is blue now. And fuzzy. Don't ask." Because he really had no idea there!

Then he went serious again, pulling her hand towards him as he lifted his brows. "Trust me when I say that going slow really isn't part of the guy membership, but I think we need to talk before we pull out all the stops. Okay?"

"So, he's how he should be. Well, not how he should be, but like how he should be, sort of. It's how I'm used to him being, but I don't think he has to be. Obviously." Fred laughed softly. "I don't mind if he takes a look, but I wouldn't want to bother him. It's probably just some bumps and bruises." She hoped.

"Sure. Talk." Talking could lead to some really bad places, but she wanted this to work. She'd run too quickly with Jack, and she'd try to make it work with Jake. "Let's get dinner first, and maybe get me somewhere so I can sit down. I think the adrenaline is finally wearing off."

He wanted it to work too, and felt that where they'd screwed up before was not doing the talking thing. And they had at least one big point to talk about before Jensen could think about being more than friends.

He gave her a smile as he nodded then jerked his head back towards the Chinese restaurant. "C'mon. I'll get you some crab rangoon. But then you get checked out by Hank." He pointed a finger right at the tip of her nose. "Bumps and bruises have a bad tendency to hide bigger problems. Been there, done that."

Fred's eyes crossed at the finger before she actually nipped at it. She gave him a slight smile.

"We should get something for Hank too. It's only fair." Jake was going to have to get used to Fred always wanting to look after everyone. He'd have to get comfortable with her need to protect all sorts, and she knew some interesting sorts, or had.

She ordered a good bit, and even with the looming lawsuit that would lead to her buying a laptop and who knows what else - she really didn't want to have to go to Lindsey but would eventually - she paid for a large portion of food. Enough to feed an army, or herself, Jake, and Hank.

"I hope he's in." She said, limping a little as they made their food laden way to the lab. "I'm hungry and tired."

Hank had stuck to himself most of the time since the meeting, not really feeling like interacting with his teammates after their grab bag responces to his apperances and the useless debate regarding Eric. He instead had stowed himself away, working in more earnest on the image inducer, not keeping track of time or his stomach until the door to his lab opened (he'd finally rigged it to be automatic unless locked, a much better way of filtering people quickly), and he smelled food, burnt plastic, and Fred and Jensen. He blinked, head lifting from the table, magnified eyes blinking from behind his work goggles.

"Fred," he said, a bit surprised. "And Jensen, good afternoon." He turned in his chair, pulling off the goggles and putting on his glasses, starting when he saw Fred and her injuries. He stood quickly and walked over. "Stars and garters, Fred, what happened to you?" There was a lurch in his stomach when the thought that it might have been Eric, but he couldn't smell the vampire on her, so he pushed down those fears and waited for her to explain.

"Hey, doc." Jensen had something closer to his ready smile as he walked in behind Fred with bags of chinese food in his arms. "Someone ran face first into a poltergeist ridden laptop. Then she set fire to it." Why yes, he wasn't above tattling on people when it was for their own good.

"Meanwhile," he hefted up the bags. "Noms!"

"No, it's a ghost. Not the same thing. Or so Dean says." Fred shrugged. "I've reason they are slightly different, as ghosts tend to be more woooo, and poltergeists get more hands on. Slightly different." She hadn't quite registered that Hank was now big and blue.

She paused as she finally saw him. Her eyes got big, and there was a smile on her lips. She wasn't all that good at hiding things. "Oh, wow." It was awe not fear nor disgust that came with those words.

"You're blue and furry. I know it's not something people should point out, but wouldn't you point out someone who had blue hair, or maybe you wouldn't. If I had blue hair, it'd be something to stare at." She paused as she realized she, or her body, did go blueberry in her normal timeline. The smile faded for only a moment. "It's great!"

She motioned for Jake to set the food down so that they could eat. "I did set fire to the laptop after the ghost got physical. I think I got a little bruised up, but I'll be okay. At least here I get a doctor who cares; actually I get a doctor in general. This is the first time I've had a doctor who knows what happens, and doesn't seem to mind. Well, he minds, I'm guessing you mind seeing someone who's hurt, but you don't mind that that I might deal in ghosts and goblins and demons, I haven't met any goblins. Yet."

Her reaction threw Hank initially, especially because she seemed so pleased about his condition. His lip tightened slightly, but he pushed the thoughts away and switched into business mode.

"Yes. I attempted to cure myself and instead worsened my condition," was all he said on the subject. Blue hair as a fashion statement was completely different, in his mind. But he nodded to Jensen, having no problem with the man who didn't treat him differently one way or another. He went to wash his hands, listening.

"Ghosts," he repeated, shaking his head slightly in wonder. "Hop up on the examination table and describe the injuries, please."

Jensen helped himself to an unoccupied or at least a least occupied table, dragged over a chair then began to unload the food. Finding a fortune cookie he broke all protocol by getting into it before anything else.

He read the fortune as he chomped on the cookie, flopping into the chair. "'Does honesty exist in a vacuum? Are you ethical when you’re all alone?' Wow. They really get existential with these anymore."

Fred was about to say something, ask why he thought he needed to be cured in the first place, or why he felt his conditioned had gotten worse. She knew that Henry McCoy was never fully happy with his "condition," and she hated that. He was awesome as far as she was concerned, even crush worthy. She left all that unsaid as she climbed more than hopped up on the table.

"Kinda why we're here. I don't know how many injuries there are." She smiled, peeking over at Jake. "You know they used to have just sayings in them? Not real fortunes. Silly thing to call them fortunes if you ask me. At least how we know fortunes." She had obvious bruises and cuts. A cut on her cheek, a pretty bad bruise on her forehead. There were places on her arms, and if she were to take off her jeans, there would be some on her legs. She had slightly singed spots here and there on her skin, and a large one on her shirt.

"I don't think I have a concussion, had those before. Sort of. But, there's.." She winced a little as she started to pull up her shirt. "It hurts on my side and some on my back." The bruise was already starting to form along her right side, which wrapped round to her back. She'd hit something sideways. "Who knew fluffy well padded sofas could do that?"

Hank made sure that his hands were fully washed and dried before going back to her. "You'll have to forgive my lack of gloves. I am still working on retracting my... the claws, and at present they split open the goves before I can get them on fully," he rumbled regretfully, going over to Fred, bringing with him the antiseptic and a few bandages.

"Anything can hurt if it strikes hard enough," he said, walking over and taking out a small light, lifting her chin and checking her for a concussion regardless. It was always better to be safe than sorry. When she lifted her shirt his frown deepened and he gently touched the area, feeling for breaks or bumps. He pulled back after a moment, taking out the antiseptic wipes to treat her cuts. "I think it nothing more than serious bruising, however, I would recommend taking great care of it for a while to be sure. There's little I can do for broken ribs which are still in place. I have some pain killers to help with the discomfort, but I'll write you a perscription as well. It should help with the swelling and recovery time, but you must take it easy for a short time and allow your body to recover."

He didn't comment on the fortune cookies, having little interest in food lately, though his stomach did rumble and remind him that he hadn't eatten in too long. Still, that could wait till he was finished with his patient.

"It's okay. It's not like the City's up to making things special like right now. Which is really bad timing on its part. Though not exactly unexpected." Fred wincing ever so slightly at the way he tested her side. She put her shirt back down nodding ever so slightly. "I won't take them, so don't bother. Just some over the counter stuff will suit me. I've been in far worse, and without a doctor to look after me, so I'll be okay I promise."

The brainy female gave him a slight smile, letting the blue and furry doctor do what he thought he should. She watched him carefully with a hint of awe. He was closer to the mutant she'd had a crush on growing up, well, sort of growing up. It nearly made her giggle, but she'd caught on that he didn't like his latest form. He liked it less than the one before, and that went along with what Fred knew of Dr. Hank McCoy.

"I can't really sit things out. People need help." She nodded slightly with a hint of a smile.

Hank gave her a bit of a chastising look, though he nodded. "I understand the wish to avoid strong medicine, however this would only be an alternate to aspirin which would be more focused towards easing the comfort of your bruising. I assured you they are no stronger or more addictive than what you would buy in the market, but better suited towards healing your ailments."

He tended to the cuts gently and efficiently, shaking his head slightly. It was almost amusement, though he was amused by very little these days. "I wonder why you have bothered coming to see me at all, if you're so intent on ignoring my advice. However I can do little but inform you on how to take care of yourself, and make my recommendations known to the team leader." He paused and then realized he should have clarified. "I would not have you bed ridden, simply... less strenuously active if possible.

The word 'addictive' actually got a wince and a blush. The word hurt Fred, and she looked away. It was hard to explain and she really didn't want to get into it. Not here, not with the doctor.

"Very small doses, and I guess that's okay." She wasn't doing it for Jensen; the idea of it still bothered her. She knew it had been an emotional/psychological addiction if anything, but she just wasn't in the mood to depend on something again.

"I'm not normally the one thrown around. I honestly didn't think that would happen." She blushed darkly. "I wasn't prepared. I wasn't that bright about it." She sighed softly, shaking her head. "Thank you, Dr. McCoy. It's a good thing we have you around."

Hanks expression and demeanor softened slightly when he saw and smelled the guilt. He would have been more tactful had he known something about it was triggering. "I guarantee you'll not find yourself dependent," he said gently, putting his hand over hers without really thinking about it. "And it should not effect your cognition in the slightest."

He shook his head then. "How many of us are prepared to battle a ghost? Was it truly a ghost? Where did this happen?" His scientific mind was slow to take lately, but still there, the curiosity sparking as soon as he realized he had no idea what had happened to her.

"Oh, good. Have to keep my wits about me, no matter what I'm doing." Fred sighed softly. The hand on hers was big, bigger than she'd have imagined anyway. And there was fur. She rested her other hand on top; she wasn't meaning to be rude, but the fur begged to be petted or at least touched. Just a little stroking over the soft fur.

"Well, I really should have been. I kind of was. I at least knew how to send it on its not so happy way. It was a ghost. Not a poltergeist. Not a demon. Just a ghost." Fred shrugged. "A very angry ghost."

Hank looked down, surprised. He'd touched her hand without thinking, but her attention to his fur reminded him of his altered form. She didn't seem upset at all by it, however, and despite himself he enjoyed the petting greatly, so he didn't pull his hand away. "It is more or less the same as the aspirin you were going to take anyway. Just altered enough to help the healing and stiffness of your bruises."

"Are ghosts comon where you were from? I've not even heard of them existing here," Hank frowned deeply, looking around despite himself. He didn't like things that were inexplicable, and ghosts traditionally near topped that list.

Fred softly scratched at the skin under all the fur. She had to fight to keep from lifting his hand to scratch at his jaw. He was so fluffy and soft; she kept petting at his fur before she pulled her hands away, smiling.

"Ghosts are not as common as demons and vampires." She continued to smile at him. "Your fur is very soft. Do you have to brush it often? I'd probably be all matted, forget to take care of it. How do you get to the back of your legs? Are you hairy there?" Yes, she was the curious sort.

"And, I'll take it. If you think it'll be okay." Her smile faded. "We brought you food."

"I've neer dealt with any of the supernatural," Hank admitted. The questions about his fur made him shift slightly. "And yes, I know it will be alright. And if you have any concerns at all about them we can work on it to see you healthy and whole as quickly as possible."

"I have begun to brush as necessary, yes," he said slowly. He didn't plan it too much, just noticed when it needed it and acted accordingly. "The fur covers all but the palms of my hands, feet, and face." And other areas, but that was not polite discussion. He quickly turned his attention on the food. "My thanks. I've not eaten for a while yet. It certainly smells good."

"You must be very flexible. If it covers all that. And hot. But it is very nice fur. Like I said, I'd probably look awful in blue. It is very suiting on you though." Fred wasn't just saying this to be nice; she meant it. She was nice in not asking what sort of brush he used, or if he had changed how he showered, or if he showered or bathed. She was obviously curious, yet even she recognized there was a limit to such questions.

"It's Chinese. We got enough to hopefully feed all of us. I wondered if you were like me, and Jake. Though I think Jake takes better care of himself than I do when working on a project. Sometimes you just have to keep working, you know?" She started to slide off the table.

"And, thank you for taking such good care of us." Before he could move far, and before she had really thought about it, she wrapped an arm loosely about his shoulders and gave him a squeeze. "You're a good guy."

His face flushed slightly when she mentioned him being flexible, but he didn't say anything about it. "Thank you," was all he said, and only out of politeness. He didn't doubt her sincerity, but he wasn't quite ready to take a compliment about his appearance.

"I do forget, yes," he said, fully aware that he was guilty of forgetting himself and his health in the quest for discovery. The hug took him by surprise, but he gently pat her should. "Thank you," he said more honestly. "You and more than a good woman, Fred." He glanced between her and Jensen. "And for more than merely bringing me a mea. Thank you both."

"Well, can't have you two looking after the JLC on empty stomachs." Fred smiled before slipping carefully away. It wasn't a rushed thing, but she was hungry even if she felt battered and bruised. There were few things that could keep this particular Texan from eating. She moved as if she weren't hurt, for the most part, but that had come with practice. Injured creatures in Pylea were usually dead creatures. She was a survivalist if anything.

"So, we have a little bit of everything. If you have a plate you can have a little bit of everything, unless Jake has eaten it." She was teasing. "Not the everything just the little bit that would have been a part of everything. You can't have what doesn't exist. Or does exist just not in a way you'd want to have it." Her nose wrinkled. "Sorry."

Hank smiled slightly as he took a plate and began to help himself. He'd never had Chinese before but it smelled decent. Of course, part of him seemed to be ravenous since his transformation. He was content at times, but when he was around food he seemed to be able to keep shoveling it in despite quality or appeal. It was a behavior he knew many predators in the wild shared, but he didn't like to make those comparisons.

"This looks very good. Thank you, both," he said again.

"Hey, man." Jensen was leaning back in his chair eating lo mein straight from the carton with a pair of chopsticks that he wielded like a pro. "We gotta look out for each other, right?"

He didn't miss the part where Fred said he took better care of himself than she did when working on a project. He just didn't comment on it since he'd basically been surviving on coffee, Rockstar, ramen and Ho-hos since starting on mapping the City.

"Exactly." Fred started digging through the cartons and pulled out one that she seemed more than eager to eat from. She might have leaned a little against Jake, may have lightly brushed her hand over a shoulder or along his back, but soon she was tucking into a carton of General Tso's. She seemed to have the chopsticks down to a science as well.

"Did you see the rice? Think we have brown somewhere." So, she wasn't the most lady like and talked carefully around her food; that was okay, right?

Hank nodded, also not saying much about Jensen's diet after he'd reviewed the man's diet during the preliminary check ups. He didn't even bother trying to work out how to use the chopsticks, going right for a plastic fork and the meatiest smelling dish.

He didn't even look up as Fred brushed against Jensen, able to tell what was going on from the scents alone. It was a new ability and he didn't much care for it, being a private man he preferred letting others have their privacy as well. When she asked the question he sniffed towards the food, then reached out and got the box with the rice inside it, offering it to her.

"You hear from Dinah?" Jensen wasn't meaning to ignore the little touches Fred was giving him, and he certainly appreciated them but the doc could be sensitive. Or at least Jensen thought so. So he didn't want to make the guy feel more uncomfortable.

He also wasn't sure how much of what happened he should say in front of Fred, but Dinah was her friend. He knew that. She should know there was probably tension going on for Dinah at the moment.

Fred didn't know if Jake was asking her or Hank. She peeked over at Hank, brow raised. Fred didn't mean to make the doctor uncomfortable; she was just the type to touch. It was who she was when she could be.

She opted to let Hank to answer the question rather than answering herself. She even gave Hank a slight nod as if to encourage him to answer. She shoveled a few bites into her mouth, chewing methodically. Her attention shifted from the two very attractive men, in their own rights, to the room with more toys and gadgets. She could spend a good while in the lab.
