Whatever Dean might say about protecting people, he was still her responsibility here. Everyone on the team and any guests she might bring in were hers to protect. Which was why she instinctively put herself between Dean the blue furred... person?
It took her a moment to recognize the voice. She blinked in surprise and looked over at her doctor.
She vaguely remembered Harry mentioning something about Hank in the comics... something about him becoming blue and furry. She looked at her team's doctor with concern.
"Hank," she said softly.
She put a hand on Dean's chest, gently nudging him to relax and stand back. She took a step towards the doctor.
"Everything okay?" she asked. It wasn't fear but merely a bit of concern in her voice.
She had known that he was attempting something to change his feet, but if she had realized that this would be the outcome... well, she accepted him whatever he was. But she still realized that she should have given him some clue about what Harry had read in the comics. He hadn't told her enough for her to know, and she had tried not to tell people about what she might have learned about them via the 'fiction' that was supposedly available in some worlds. Telling people about their potential future didn't seem like a fair thing to do.
