Sometimes Dinah was the open up and dump all the feelings out type. A lot of times she was. But so much had happened and things with Jake were so painful that she had shut down a little.
It felt like part of her had died. She hoped that feeling was temporary and that it would get better, but she didn't really see how. She appreciated that Zee wasn't pushing her to talk, and she appreciated the silent show of support. She gave her friend a grateful smile that came a little easier than the strained smiles she'd had to offer earlier.
At the question about Jensen, she took another sip of the coffee and then shook her head with a little laugh.
"I'm afraid it's more serious than that. There's a vampire running around the City that can walk in the daylight. He attacked me a few weeks ago, and I think we really need to find a way to track him down and take him out. I also want to bring someone else in to help us with this situation."
This was where it got a little trickier. The last time that Zee had worked with Dean hadn't gone well. In fact, those two had been alternating being at each other's throats and having an awkward sort of sexual tension ever since they had met each other. Dinah wanted Dean in on this, but she wasn't going to do that at the expense of upsetting one of her teammates. Which was why she thought it was important to talk to Zatanna about this privately before she asked everyone to meet.
