Busted. And he was okay with that. It was time to start dealing with the fact that other people here weren't exactly from normal places, either. Even if these people had heard of Wonderland. And might have heard of him, though it wasn't really him, so he was okay with that, too. Right? Maybe. He'd have to see.
"You're handling all that rather well," he pointed out, smiling a little despite himself. "Past, future, people from other...realities." Considering he'd grown up knowing there was a whole other world besides his own, it wasn't much for him to take in. But her? It made him wonder where she was from, what all she'd dealt with.
"I grew up in a place called Wonderland. Definitely no tacos. Or pizza. Or spaghetti. Lots of things, really. We were deprived of brilliant food!" Yes, he rushed on. Mostly because he didn't want her to have time to stop and think about where he was from. It was just...odd. Let them all think he was from this 'England', with his thick accent and occasionally quaint mannerisms. That was just fine with him. "But I'm looking forward to trying lots of new things. Who knows, maybe I'll give this fish taco a try sometime. Something new and different."
