The look on Fred's face did suggest it was shocking to hear that he hadn't tried steak tacos, but it wasn't for the reason he might think. She stared at him for a minute then laughed softly, at herself.
"Sorry. Oh, yes, if you haven't, you should try them. You really should. Steak is way better than ground beef, but ground beef will always do in a pinch. Even chicken. Not a big fan of fish, but steak is my favorite. Some people like tofu, but it's okay. There's also mushroom, which isn't bad either. I guess. Yes, you should try steak." She smiled, so excited to see someone who was going to try a steak taco for the first time. She was a little nervous, which almost had her laughing at herself again. Why should she be nervous about something that really wasn't hers? Yet, tacos were so much her go to food, other than waffles or pancakes, that she felt as if they were sort of hers.
"Do you like spicy? You shouldn't get everything on it if you don't like spicy. I like a little spicy, but not burn all your taste buds off spicy. No, that's not for me. But, if you like spicy, I say go for it all." She just beamed. Yes, this was definitely something to take her mind off the not so pleasantness that abounded for the brainy female.
