"I would miss you or Ted or..." Charlie didn't know too many people. There were a few he'd gotten to know, and a few he was getting to know. Annie and Honour, aka Beauty, were two. He needed to check on Annie, see how the watch was doing. That thought didn't seem to bother him at all.
"You should talk to him. If he's mad, he's mad. Face it, move on through it. You will have cleared the air, and will be able to see far more than you do now." Charlie didn't want her heart to be broken, but it was better to have it broken now than later when it could lead to more danger. He wouldn't bring up Dean's jacket because he knew if she wanted to now Jennifer could look up the same information he had. He knew that the woman was smart enough to find the truths and the facts, which weren't always the same thing.
"I like to think that you would look after the fish and get fruit in remembrance of me." It sounded biblical or religious, but Charlie meant it as a simple remembrance. "You would survive." He smiled at her, trying to reassure her.
