This man was very confusing. He spoke in strange sentences that were not very direct. Like she was only hearing part of what he was thinking being spouted out into words. The furrow of her brow attested to her confusion. But he had said she would help solve murders, so he had her attention.
She tilted her head slightly, "I believe I met a detective not long ago." She mentioned, only because she had already talked to the police. She still needed to catch up with him. She'd settled in more or less by now. No reason not to go seek him out.
She was pretty sure he was still talking about the police but she wasn't entirely sure. It was rare for Brennan to feel flustered, but when she felt like she ought to be understanding something and she wasn't, she got easily frustrated. "Who are you?" He had given his name already, but she wanted to know more than that. How did he know so much about her and these murders? Was he one of the murderers. It wouldn't be the first time a serial killer had become obsessed with her.
