Dinah didn't move into the silently offered embrace. She appreciated it, but she didn't know Jesse all that well and right now she just... well, she wasn't sure what she wanted.
She nodded.
"Me too."
The tears were now silently streaming down her face and there was nothing for it.
"Thank you for answering."
She meant for both answering her prayer and her questions, but she didn't have enough strength left in her to elaborate any further.
It was then that she did lean into the God in a cowboy's body. She rested her head on his shoulder as her body shook with silent sobs.
She was going to feel very sheepish about crying on an almost complete stranger's shoulder in a few days, but for now she just didn't care.
