He turned around and it was him. She stood stock still for a minute, almost unwilling to believe her eyes. But then she broke into a huge grin and veritably tossed herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him like she hadn't seen him for a year.
It felt longer, actually, but it had really only been a couple of weeks. She clung to him as if he were some sort of specter and if she let go, he would fade to mist and be gone.
"It's really you. How did you? When did you?" She pulled back just enough to look into his face, searching it for answers when he wasn't speaking fast enough.
