Fred looked like she'd been smacked, but what actually got her glaring was the way he attacked Dinah.
"You listen very carefully." There were few times Fred got angry, truly angry. "Joker doesn't move like a vampire, and King Kong isn't something that just happens, even when it does. You see that huge son of a bitch from a mile away. You don't see a Nordic king type rushing at you with his fangs out until he's right on top of you. You don't have any idea what it's like for him to look in your eyes and lose your control. He's got abilities Joker, King Kong, and drug lords don't. So I suggest you step back from that crazy ledge quick like. We don't know she handled herself, but it didn't matter. He bested her because he is a vampire. She's not a slayer or a hunter or anything like that. She's learning, and he's not like any vampire I know. He walks in the fucking daylight when he didn't before. So whatever's going on, he's not normal even for being a vampire, his kind of vampire."
Jensen had actually gotten Fred to cuss. Attacking her friends was a very fast way to get her angry.
"I told you about her because I wanted you to know, that whatever was going on with the blood, it was more my decision than a real addiction. I wanted to let you know I changed my mind. If you have other reservations about Dinah, I think you should take them up with her. But this one? Really says nothing about leadership. It says everything about not being on the highest part of the food chain anymore." She was very much thinking of leaving.
