That wasn't especially comforting, but if Jack said he'd looked for a way out for months, she was pretty sure she was stuck for a while and would just have to deal with the situation. It wasn't as if anything like this hadn't ever happened to her before.
"The budgeting comes from the City, too?" It was like the City was a living, breathing, thinking entity. It was unsettling to say the least.
