"Well, at least in this case the people had the chance to choose their leader. It's much better than..." he stopped. Reliving Wonderland and his mother's rule was not something that needed to be done, particularly over coffee.
It was odd, seeing her like this. After his secret was out and after everything else had happened. But he was glad to have her here all the same, if not glad that she was stuck here.
"I'm happy to see you too," Jack agreed.
"Oh," he said, remembering suddenly. "You should check your pockets. You might have a key and an ATM card. Some people are fortunate enough to arrive and have accommodations all ready for them."
Not everyone did, of course. But if that was the case, he would still make sure she had somewhere safe to stay.
