There was the faintest hint of wistfulness in his voice at that. He missed his home. It hadn't been perfect, but it had been home and he'd done so much to try to make it safer for his people-to try to make it a better place. And now he was here.
He knew that Alice wouldn't wait until their drinks had been served, so he started in on his explanations once they were seated.
"They call it the City. Capital C, no other name. Sometimes it looks a little bit like New York,"
Yet another note of wistfulness. He hadn't been in New York long, but he had loved it. Both for the freedom from his Mother's tyranny and from the pressure of who he was supposed to be, and for the fact that New York was where he'd found Alice.
"And sometimes it looks like other cities that I hadn't heard of before arriving here. Some people have mentioned Gotham, Metropolis, Los Angeles, Tokyo."
