Zoe hadn't had the best day. In fact, she was tired and upset with the world. It took a good bit to get her in one of these moods, and she'd reached her limit. There was a boy who needed to be looked after. There was a mad mystic who had issues beyond Zoe's control, and there was a gorram dead man taunting her through the paper. She wanted to hurt someone, yet she also just wanted to be left alone, to hide. She wouldn't have minded being locked away in a ship, buzzing through the Black.
She'd taken the time to get out of armor and house the BatMule before heading home. She wasn't sure if she wanted Jesse to be there or not. Part of her just wanted to curl up with him, another part wanted to soak in a bath - she did love having water so readily available to her.
She knew he was in her apartment before she opened the door. She could just feel that someone was there. She paused as she stepped inside. Well, he'd cooked at least, which she'd admit was a good thing. He'd also smoked and sprayed something that was probably toxic. And there was the smell of street outside.
