She was pretty when she blushed. And if he'd been asked, Lindsey would've said so.
Lindsey shot Shauna a look that asked, without speaking, what the actual fuck was wrong with her. He didn't see how it was any of her business. If she was interested, that was too bad. Girl had a bull ring in her damn nose and was probably way too young for him, anyway.
Not his type.
Lindsey just nodded at Zee. "Okay. Gonna be loud and boring," he cautioned.
Ben came back out and said he was ready, and waved his hand for Lindsey to follow him back. In turn, Lindsey crooked a finger at Zee and beckoned her back, too.
Once they were back behind the counter, and behind the curtain, there were little rooms. All had what looked like exam tables in them, as well as a few chairs. Lindsey had to remind himself that people came here to be pierced, too. Had to be sterile. Past those few little rooms there was a larger, open room, with a few tattoo stations in it, sort of like a hair salon would be set up. There was another guy in the corner tattooing dice and the words LADY LUCK on a man's bicep. The tattoo gun hummed, off and on, as he chatted with his client. Ben gestured to an empty chair, where Zee could sit if she didn't want to look at the tattoo books and flashes all over the room.
"Okay. First we're gonna position these on you in the right spot with the transfers, then we'll do the outlines, and then fill them in, if you're not ready to hit me by then," Ben said.
Lindsey nodded. He started to unbutton his shirt and put it on the back of the higher chair, the one he knew he'd end up sitting in.
Ben grabbed the transfers and started to put them in the right place, explaining how they had to sit just so to allow for how they'd look as Lindsey moved. Once he had the right spot for one, he let go of it and wet it, then put it back on, leaving a purple outline on Lindsey's skin for him to follow.
