The Bat tagged one or two of the remaining thugs to find later. There was a slight nod at the job done before looking attention was turned to the man-child. He wanted so to stay a boy, but he seemed on the verge of growing up. There was a slight smile in in the helm, but the smile wouldn't make it to the Bat's voice.
Stepping from the shadows, the Bat stepped out, the only way the Bat should ever make an entrance. There was a slight tilt of head then turning as if the Bat were getting a good look at the boy's home. There was another nod of the helm; it was very much like Kaylee's room on Serenity. It seemed suiting. What was not suiting was the way the boy had cut into the man's arms.
"No." The voice was masculine. The way the Bat moved may be considered more masculine than feminine, but in the end it didn't matter. It suggested death and power. "I'm Batman." The voice was not expectant; Zoe doubted the boy would even know who the Batman was.
