Fred blinked. She grabbed his arm, her lips set as she looked at him, or tried to. One thing she had learned from the whole Jack experience and living in the City.
"Jake, wait. Why wouldn't you want me to kiss anyone?" Her fingers tightened on the muscle; she honestly hadn't realized she'd done that. "It would mean I couldn't even kiss you. And, I know this might be a little silly, but I kinda hope that you wouldn't mind kissing me some time. I mean not right now because apparently I'm not the best choice of when to kiss. Plus, I did just break up with someone who I was kinda broken up with to begin with. I'd feel like I moved on kinda quick, even if I hadn't really been...I donno. I'm not a very good person, so I don't know why you'd wanna kiss me after saying that."
She didn't let go. She was being honest after all. "Or did you just not want me to kiss anyone? Cause I gotta say, I can't promise that."
