"Hm." Hannibal thought about this information for a moment. Tried to recreate in his mind what it might have looked like, this boy versus the vampire. No matter if his construction were pure and accurate, it still proved to be amusing.
"Do you think that the way he was, his attitude, his entire being, might have pulled on this part of you that you'd not previously encountered, other than in dreams, I mean." Hannibal looked at Hank from the corner of his eyes. "That in conjunction with these dreams, there was nothing more that you could do to suppress it?"
There was room here to push, and Hannibal could see it clearly. He couldn't very well let it go by untouched.
"Did this lack of inhibition feel bad in any particular way? And I mean truly, here, Henry. Not that you regretted it after or felt ashamed of yourself. In the moment, while you were in it, did you hate how you felt, or did you enjoy it? You say that you would have been open to his companionship by this point, do you find that terrible? Do you feel that perhaps this might be a thing you enjoy outside of this ... state?"
The vampire had flown. He had previously thought Lestat was the only one of them that could do that. But he still didn't believe that the vampire that Henry had met was Lestat. Too much about it was wrong. Especially the part about sexual companionship. What an interesting twist.
"Do you think that the vampire will leave you alone now? Or do you fret that he might return and resume his torment? It seems that he went through much to get you to the point you reached, to just leave is odd. Perhaps it was just another piece in his plan. A way to further frustrate you. Get you to acquiesce and then leave you unsatisfied. It's cruel, but he doesn't seem beyond that."
