"You don't have to keep it, I don't think. I mean, there's lots of boxrooms, for people to live in the towers around here. I looked in the windows, a lot of them are fancy," Rufio shrugged. He'd slept in an empty apartment once. He'd snuck in and tried it out, but the people in the box above him were loud and he didn't like the lights in the rooms.
"You had a mom?" Rufio swung his legs over the counter near her and watched. She seemed sad about it, maybe hers had gotten lost too.
He considered her request for manners carefully. Wendy had been likewise fixated on saying the right things, but he'd never paid attention to her. This girl, though, was prettier and had something to offer.
"More.... please," he forced the word out and scowled slightly, but then tried to make up for it by giving her a very hopeful smile.
