"Here is the City," Rufio smirked, watching her go towards the bottles. He pushed up off the floor and floated over, coming to gentle rest on the tabletop and followin her every movement with his eye. He tried to remember what soda was, and thought maybe he remembered somebody mentioning it when he was looking at drinks.
"The kind with the magic, you know, the bubbles?" he said. There was no other explanation for why you'd twist a cap and calm liquid would start to fizz, but he loved the way it tickled his nose as he drank and his throat as he drank it.
He leaned back and tugged at the small pendant around his neck, the only piece of his original costume that he still wore from Neverland. It was a little stone, but shiny, and though most of the time it was hidden under his shirt this talking of the past was making him a bit homesick. "This place is yours, right? It came with you. Did you live here where you came from?"
