"Stop acting like you know a thing about what I want or who I am. For your information, Lois Lane would rather have a byline in World Weekly news that's telling the truth than in the Daily Planet or the City Voice and sweep the truth under the rug."
Of course, it hurt a little bit to say that. Giving up the idea of a front page byline with the Daily Planet really hurt to say, but she meant it all the same.
She smiled her appreciation at Jeannie and then considered Dean, tilting her head as though she were turning the idea over in her mind.
Finally, she shook her head and turned her attention to Jeannie.
"No, thank you. I think I'll just have to make sure I steer clear of the weasel myself."
