Jeannie did not see why he kept winking at her. It was not as though they were in cahoots together. Oh no. He was being a bad person all by himself, and Jeannie did not approve. She was very disappointed that he was not the wonderful person she thought he could be for her new friend.
And he made no sense. They had never met? There was another him? Did he have a twin like she did? If he did, then he must be the bad seed and maybe she could find the other one for Lois. Because this man was very, very dishonest.
“You have a very odd relationship with truth,” she mused aloud. “You lie. A lot.”
Jeannie looked at Lois. “I am sorry. I think you were right about him. Would you like me to turn him into a ferret? I have always wanted to try a ferret. I am better with dogs, but a ferret would be more appropriate. They are weasels, you know.”
