"Right, blink, not blip." The hunter stared at the Jeannie look-a-like a little longer before looking back at Lois. Some woman he didn't know was standing up for him, and the way she smiled she seemed to know him. Yet another person who thought they knew him.
"I didn't call because I've been busy working jobs. I've been saving lives." Interestingly, that wasn't too far from the truth. "And, you can search me. I don't have your notebook on me." He put his hands up so that she could give him a search.
"Why do you need the notebook so bad? Was there something in there other than..you know?" He knew the story that had taken her there was certainly not useless. He took a risk in stepping closer. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't call. And, I wish you're notebook wasn't missing. I really am sorry. What guy doesn't call Lois Lane back, right?"
It wasn't that he was ignoring the harem pants hottie, but he had to try and defuse the bomb that was Lois Lane before she exploded all over him and the sweet yet slightly clueless woman.
