Lindsey's eyebrow rose, then fell again. "If you say so," he said. "I make it a point not to argue with beautiful women unless they're lawyers."
This was completely true. He'd never started a fight with Darla. Or Eve. Or Cordelia, for that matter. Or Kate Lockley. Or Fred, though she wouldn't know that. Not even with Dru. He may have made things happen that'd hurt them, but he'd never be outright disrespectful.
His father'd taught him better than that. The only woman he'd ever outright yelled at or argued with or given shit was Lilah Morgan--and that was because she chose to play the same game and feed it right back. She wanted to be a lawyer, loved it. He gave as good as he got.
"So... you win." He gave Zee a charming smile. He was starting to like her, which was a bad sign. At least, he thought it was. Maybe it wasn't so bad.
He'd have to find out who Zee really was. Really. Maybe she'd just... tell him.
