He didn't dare move back from the table. She had him completely at war with himself, his baser instincts struggling with his intelligence and respectful upbringing. After so many year keeping to himself he hadn't expected such animalistic thoughts to be so easily conjured in his mind.
"D-dinner would be wonderful, but I assure you, I'm qu-quite capable of paying for my own meal," he stammered. She didn't seem the type that would want a man to pay for her, but they could keep things even. He stopped for a moment, reigning in his breathing so he could speak more ably.
"I will of course let you know where my lab's relocated to. Once I myself know where." She was leaving, and though he made no move to stop her he did try to straighten. "Thank you for coming, I.... I always enjoy your company."
