The knock made Hank start slightly, and he turned. People rarely knocked here, most strode in because they thought they owned the place, or called him and kept their contact that way.
Getting up quicky he hurried to the fridge, putting his precious vial marked 'X Cure' in it's holder inside and then going over to the door, opening it slowly.
He'd been working a while, so was somewhat mussed in his appearance. His shirt hadn't been changed in a few days and whiskers were starting to poke out of his chin and jawline. Not that he got much hair anyway, he'd still never grown any true sort of beard. He certainly wasn't ready for Red to be there, looking as beautiful as ever.
"Oh! Miss Red," He said, surprised. He opened the door, wondering for just a moment before he remembered the unusual boy who'd come to see him. "I... right! Your sample. Of course. Ah, come in, come in." He opened the door and moved back to give her plenty of room to enter, gritting his teeth slightly. Had he expected company he would have at least pushed the cot back out of sight. "You ah, sent me a young visitor, I assume this unexpected delight is in regards to that?"
