Lois Lane had seen a lot of things in her time as a reporter. For that matter, she'd seen a lot of weird things in her time living in the meteor freak capital of the world.
It took a lot to surprise her. and some who knew her might joke that it took even more to stun her into silence.
Her jaw was agape as she stared at the notepad and pencil. that had previously been a coffee cup. And before that, a handbag. And a gerbil. And...
She finally took the notebook and tried to rein in her shock.
"You're a genie."
Yes, she knew that. At least, the woman had told her that. And she'd been inclined to think it was possible, but allowing for the possibility and actually seeing the evidence were two different things.
"Your master? You want me to meet your master? Or..." her eyes widened. "You could get Dean here? Like, you could just snap your fingers and he'd be here?"
That would certainly be a trick. She was definitely going to smack him whenever she tracked him down. And get her notebook back, if he hadn't already trashed it.
She'd been looking for Dean, but since he hadn't given her a last name she didn't exactly have much to go on. Not to mention that she was starting to get the feeling that the City was almost being deliberately uncooperative. Which went against every piece of logic in her brain because cities weren't supposed to be sentient.
