"I doubt you'll ever lose her," Inara said softly.
She considered his words. Yes, it did seem to fit together rather well and convenient, didn't it? And she had said that she wanted to see his ship. And she did. It may have, perhaps, seemed to her too eager to agree so quickly, but this wasn't the world she was used to. This was a different life, one where she could behave however she wanted. She wasn't bound by Guild restrictions anymore. They had never pulled at her, back home, but living without boundaries was suddenly so freeing.
"I suppose you're right," she agreed with a nod and a tilt of her head. Her gaze followed his out to the water. "I don't see why not." And she grinned.
