"Yes." It really was the best and most honest answer. "As I said, sometimes singularly, sometimes as a whole. Magic can go wonky. Experiments may go bad - like zombies could be made. They were a while ago. It wasn't pleasant."

The City might take an interest in love, or Valentine's, and poof there are a bunch of freakish babymen in diapers flitting around shooting arrows at people and making them fall in love. It's learning. It's discovering. The end game is unknown, but it's got to have one." Fred shrugged as if it were everyday information. For her it was.
"I've been working on a mapping system and finding the power source. Rearranging streets and buildings at seeming random would need demand a high power output. Now I know that there are power sources that are seemingly small when compared to the output, but still, there has to be a way to identify those things." See, she wasn't completely crazy; she just didnt' have the same filter between brain and mouth everyone else did apparently.
"You'll probably find that you can get decent connection. Highly unlikely that you'll be able to get information that isn't City based. As in, you won't be getting much from Star City or Coast City or LA or New Orleans or Vulcan - Spock's here." She had to explain why she'd even bother mentioning the alien planet. "At least not anything that doesn't have someone from a particularly fixed temporality. Or so I've found. I could be wrong."
