Rufio stared at her for a moment, jaw slack, then let out a bellow, a mixture of rage and pain. He lept off his barrel and kicked it as hard as he could knocking it off.
"Shut UP! You stupid old hag, don't you get it? I CAN'T grow up, I WON'T. I'm never going to get stupid and fat and old and ugly like you, like any of you! I'd rather throw myself in the river!" he screamed, grabbing his aword with both hands and swinging it with all his strength at the toppled barrel, hacking at it several times before pulling away, chest heaving. Then he turned, kicking the box of noodles he'd spilled before pointing his sword towards Zoe, eyes burning and brimming with tears. "You've ruined everything!"
Of course it was ridiuclous to blame the woman he'd just met of getting older, but he had to blame somebody and she was the one who'd brought it to his attention.
