"Wise? Like an owl or a mermaid or somethin'? That's boring," Rufio rolled his eyes, though he did obey her rule about the buns.
"I guess I'm taller than the others now, but I'm still a kid," he said, almost ferociously defensive, though he looked at the sticks and wondered how one chopped with them. He took one, examining it, then stabbed at the food with it. He scowled, stabbing at it repetitively till he noted how she was using hers. He frowned, then tried to put the chopsticks in his hand as she had them, but he quickly got frustrated again and instead settled for a messy scooping motion. "I'm going to be a kid forever, you know. No matter what this City's like," he said, mouth full of noodles. He was determined to hold onto his youth, to make sure that when he found a way back to Neverland it wasn't too late.
