"Or because there are too many people to try claiming a whole building. Not everyone lives somewhere that they can have a whole building to themselves." Fact was it bothered Zoe that so few people lived in the Wayne Manor. The space should have many people laughing and living in it.
"Watch who you protect and who you're protecting them from. One day it might come back to bite you in the ass." Zoe tried to watch her language some what around the boy, but she'd know more curse words by the time she was his age, or the age he looked.
They were soon at the front of the line. The vendor spoke a soft Chinese, and Zoe seemed at home with it. She nodded a few times. Soon she held up her hand and order something; her fingers suggested she wanted two of something and three of another. It didn't take long for the vendor to hand over two plastic bowls and a box of something. Zoe gave the box to the boy and claimed a set of chopsticks for each of them.
"Those should be fine in the morning. Eat them cold. Pork." She was already walking away from the stand after paying for the small meal.
