"Mr. Arthur with dreams to sell." Zoe's smile in return was actually a bit of a smirk. It hid the concern for what she was and wasn't seeing. Things were hidden by fallen debris, things like his legs. Legs were good to have, and she wasn't sure she wanted to know where they were.
"Storm, big one." The Amazon looked up at the building, the flashlight shining around the place as she thought. "We don't have much time. Is there anyone else down here, do you know?"
Finally she found what she was looking for; she climbed a little further, carefully setting the light in a nook that freed up both her hands. Some would put the damn thing in their mouths, but some wouldn't be able to see all they wanted. Plus, it let him see too, no light shining in his eyes anyway.
"Smells like more than trash down here." There was a chemical smell, and other things, but there was a hint of coppery tang that she knew all too well from the battlefield. "Why were you in a basement? Or did you fall through?"
She had to keep him talking. He might not be the type that normally went into shock; she doubted he was, but people didn't have buildings land on them regularly, did they? She didn't gasp when she discovered how he was pinned. She just started unwinding the rope. "This is going to get interesting."
