Eric watched the display of power from right inside the bathroom door. He watched silly belongings he had more for decoration than that he cared about them be destroyed. The only thing he really worried about was the fire. That could be dangerous. To him personally.
It fizzled out quickly, however, and Eric didn't pay attention to the rest of it. He didn't have a maid for this place, but it would take him only moments to get it all clean again.
He didn't know what question to ask that wouldn't annoy the shit out of her. He didn't even know if he should continue to address Baba as 'he' or 'Jack' or if that would get him impaled with something. She was certainly more pissed off than he had ever seen her, at any time. He had read of her anger in the book that she had bought from Beauty, the book that she had allowed him to read, but he had never imagined that he would be seeing it first hand.
"Do what you have to." It wasn't a dismissal. It wasn't in any tone she might take wrong. It was a statement. And in that statement, he told her very clearly that he wasn't taking a step closer until he was positive she was not going to be harmful.
