It was hard to miss the broad-shouldered man, and his bright smile as she walked into the convenience store, ducking into the first likely-looking establishment she could find on her hunt for some quickie dinner fixings. For whatever reason, the city had given Harry his house and office back, but it still liked to mess with her to no end.
If it was trying to tell her something, she didn't want to hear what it seemed to be saying.
"Let me see..." She gave the guy a smile--and not just her cop smile--before turning a cop's eye to the counter and the rest of the store, in search of a newspaper stand. After a quick walk-around, she found it, inconveniently tucked on an end-cap. "Here we go," she called, raising a hand, in case all five feet and tuppence of her had disappeared as well. "Right over here."
