The stranger looked over at the woman in question, brow raised slightly. The smile he sent was anything but polite; it was more on the smug end of the spectrum. Once more the green eyes turned to the Viking.
"She'll soon be jealous as she no longer has your attention, and she's giddy because she stood next to death. Even if she was one body removed." He took yet another sip of beer before licking his lips and turning in his slouch to face the Viking. The smile was now more knowing.
"I do? Which friend is that? And it is such a pity that the City doesn't provide its..." There was a pause as the stranger decided what word to use. 'Children' may be too much of a give away; he wasn't ready for the game to be over. "Citizens. I was given to understand that it gave all."
"I'd offer you a drink, but you don't seem the type to enjoy what I'm having." The strange gave the Viking a not so quick and certainly not hidden once over. "At least, not directly."
