"This," Karen waved at the dress, "is not what you go to the ballet in."
She grabbed the girl by the wrist and pulled her over to a different rack entirely. The dresses were longer, and had less color to them.
"These are ballet dresses. You want to look nice but not glaringly obvious. No bright colors, that's a real no no." She shook her head. Looking at the girl was a little bit hard. "You'll have to do something with your hair too. And your face."
She shook her head again, she'd had more to work with when she'd remade the pirate. "I think something straight. Ankle length. With a low back. It'll take focus off how bony and boobless you are."
Karen found the dress she'd been thinking of and sized the girl automatically. The dress had a high neck and a high slit up one side. It was perfect.
