Fred jumped when the snotty, no doubt rich woman snapped at her. The brainiac even went so far as to put the awful red dress back on the rack.
"I just wanted to see if it had onna those bows people put on the butts," she had to laugh; it was something of a joke. "Cause that's what it's gotta have. It's awful."
When she saw the store clerk, who didn't disguise their distaste for Fred who probably couldn't afford even the major fashion faux pas, Fred mumbled an apology before stepping away from the dress and those like it on the rack all together. Her hands shoved into her jeans, and she tried to look inconspicuous, which wasn't easy, seeing as she and Karen seemed to be the only ones in the store at the moment.
"Oooh, this is pretty." It was a slinky black dress that Fred could in no way fill, but it could definitely look nice on the right body with more curves than poor Fred.
