"Of course they're pretty." Karen said, going into the shop. "They cost at least a thousand dollars a piece. That's big people money, in case you were wondering."
She was already looking at dresses, wondering what the skinny girl was doing inside with her, when she heard the girl talking. A quick glance told her everything she needed to know, but she did a double take anyway.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She was offended for more than one reason. The least of them being that she was touching the clothes inside the store. The most being the dress she was looking at. It needed to be taken outside and shot. And then set on fire.
"Put that down right now." If the girl was seriously going to look at these dresses, she needed to not look on the sale rack. Which in most stores was a nickname for the nobody buys these ever because they suck rack.
