The world had been full of oddities lately. Her ...Eric was now some small creature, and she had no idea how that had happened other than her cabin pecking him, which was strange enough as it was. She wasn't happy. The crone could be rather dangerous when she was unhappy.
Eric as a small creature did make her laugh though; it actually made her smile to think of his little body feeding on bugs or nuzzled up to her. It also amused her to know that he would certainly prove himself something more than a wee creature when this was over; it wouldn't last. It couldn't.
Soon she found herself walking in a part she was certain she'd never been in before, other than perhaps that first time she'd come to the City. She walked absently among the warehouses and along the docks, finally coming to stop when she saw a huge white thing. Her brow rose. Why was there a polar bear at the docks? Or even in the City?
"You're in the wrong part of the City, bear." She spoke to it as if she expected it to understand her, and perhaps as she was an old magic type, she actually did expect it. Then again, the woman talked to her cabin as if it understood her, so who knew what she was thinking.
