The Bat dealt with the other two hyenas while Dinah seemed to get the ringleader. The first one went down rather quickly, not quietly, but quickly; as it was about to attack, the Bat shot it...twice. Which was probably overkill, but who really would want to deal with two doglike creatures at once?
The second was a little more clever than the first, or he learned from example. The attack came from behind, knocking the Bat down. Damn things were heavier than the Bat expected, and the teeth hurt, even if the Bat was wearing very good gear. The teeth barely broke through, but the jaw did well in crushing. A good bite to the arm was going to make shooting it difficult, not impossible, just difficult. Zoe was going to have bruises after this.
Turning and twisting, emitting grunts that were thankfully masked by the voice box attached to the mask, the Bat finally got an angle on the very aggressive second hyena. It meant that the Bat wouldn't have to worry about shooting "him"self. This time one was all it took. The shot was enough of a distraction that the Bat was able to knock the gorram thing off and maybe send another hit to the thick head. It went down without much more of a fight...thankfully.
Biting back Chinese curses, which would definitely show this was not Dinah's Batman, the Bat got up and looked at the injured arm. "Taking them to the zoo seems the best choice, unless you think putting them down would be better." Zoe was honestly torn. Could they be rehabilitated? She hoped so.
