Jareth was heading back to the small apartment that the City had provided him, at least he was doing his best to head back there but the infernal buildings kept moving. He wondered if the frustration he felt was the same others felt when they had tried to solve his Labyrinth, what with it constantly walls and corridors, the exception being a few static passageways. But this, from the other side, was extremely frustrating.
He wanted his Labyrinth back, his castle... and even, to a minor extent, his subjects. The small apartment thing... did not suit him. Small, however, was relative when one considered he was accustomed to having an entire castle at his immediate disposal.
Walking confidently as possible, he wasn't afraid of the coming darkness, the Goblin King's stride was determined and relatively loud given his boots. Frowning, he considered the technical device tucked into a hidden pocket of his jacket. What was he to do with that, exactly? Call Howl and check on him repeatedly to see if there was any progress on his part on finding a way out. Jareth certainly hadn't made any.
Besides, what did he need the electronic device for when he had his crystals?
He nodded to the man approaching him and gave a friendly smile. The sort you gave strangers to let them know that even though you were walking the streets in dark clothing with a cape trailing behind you, you were of little threat. “Evening,” he said and didn't give it much other thought.
