"We've been keeping longer hours because we're close to the bus stop," Raven explained. "I couldn't just let people sit out there with everything that's going on." The girl lifted her shoulders into a shrug. "If you'd like to wait on a bus, you're welcome. I'm Raven - assistant manager here. The people in the corner are regulars. That's George," she indicated an older man with a bob of her head, "Lilah," a middle-aged woman in a terrible sweater, "and Connie."
She hovered just a few feet from Arthur, hands clasped in front of her, right around the wrist of the left. It was an awkward pose, but the smile on the girl's face was pleasant and un-forced.
