"Damn comic books." Dinah muttered. "Would you believe that wasn't even my actual ex but some version of him from a parallel world?" she sighed. "Like I said, you're not the only one the City likes to screw with."
Dinah sat back down then.
"And don't be silly. I'm not just going to leave you alone in the City. While I'm sure you're more than capable of fending for yourself, you shouldn't have to scramble for some place to stay after dark here. If anything, you can go home and I'll go back to where I'm staying."
