"I know what you mean. There's a reason I'm a florist by day. It helps to work in the light to balance out the darkness I'm fighting."
She took another drink and shrugged.
"The Sherwood Florist could always use more help, if you ever wanted to work with flowers."
The bartender brought over new drinks then. Dinah raised an eyebrow as he explained that it was courtesy of a few guys on the other end of the bar.
After the bartender left, Dinah looked at the drinks and then at Murphy.
"The last time I accepted a free drink didn't go so well," she muttered. "I ended up getting kidnapped by some Red Court vampires." She eyed the drinks suspiciously. "Of course, Harry and I were sort of looking into a case at the time. They were kidnapping women in love for some sort of ritual."
She finished off her drink, trying not to think too hard about that particular night. Granted, Harry had been worse off than she'd been when all was said and done.
