Harry snickered. "Yup. First I get to meet God, now I'm having a casual chat with Death while standing over my grave." He looked up at her, not afraid to meet her eyes. One needed a soul in order for a soulgaze to take place, and he was damned sure Death didn't get one of those.
"Alright, Didi." He let out a sigh, trying to push away the jittery laughter and let his mind settle again. "Glad I didn't look too long."
He looked up at her again, and his hand rubbed at the spot on his chest, the one where he'd felt the bullet pass through. "Was it you?" he wondered aloud. "That... voice? Telling Snakeboy to hush when I fell in the water?"
